Popfuzion Live, a digital series centered on entertainment and positive news, premiered June 6 on Roku TV with a mission to spotlight people making a difference across communities, including voices with ties to New York and beyond.

Created by Popfuzion TV and co-hosted by Francesca Ellana and Rochelle Amber, the show blends pop culture with personal storytelling. Each episode highlights public figures, nonprofit leaders, and up-and-coming changemakers working across arts, wellness, advocacy, and more. Ellana, who also co-created the network, designed the series to offer a more human take on entertainment news and social impact.

The premiere episode, The Ultimate 90s Throwback, featured actor Dennis McDonald from Bad Boys and a visit to the Friday House, marking Popfuzion’s official Roku debut.

The lineup continues weekly through August 1. Upcoming guests include a range of voices from the entertainment, fitness, and nonprofit sectors. Episode two, Against All Odds, airing June 13, will feature Comeback Catalyst executives Lucy Cullen and Emily O’Brien, as well as actor LeQuan Bennett. Episode three, Spotlight On Good, airs June 20 with voice actor JP Karliak and actress Tegan Muggeridge.

New Yorkers may take interest in episode nine, Hope in Action, which airs August 1 and includes Tanya Wright, an educator and founder of Hairiette of Harlem, as well as Dr. Susan Michaelis, a cancer research advocate leading the Lobular Moon Shot Project.

Produced in partnership with Executive Producer Herb Jackson Jr., the show was developed to offer an alternative to the often negative tone of traditional media by amplifying stories rooted in progress and community impact.
