HLX+ Studios and the South Asian nonprofit Sammaan for All have announced the launch of Unity Walk NYC, a multicultural movement designed to foster community connection in response to increasing national division. The organizations will host a special media announcement on Aug. 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Mineral Springs in Central Park to introduce the initiative.

The announcement will start a year-long campaign intended to build momentum for the inaugural Unity Walk NYC, scheduled for August 2027. The movement seeks to bring together diverse groups, including families, students, seniors, faith communities, cultural organizations, and civic leaders, through shared experiences in wellness, education, and entrepreneurship.

The partnership combines the resources of HLX+ Studios, a Latino-founded organization, and Sammaan for All, a nonprofit representing South Asian communities. Organizers stated that the initiative demonstrates the power of different cultures joining forces to create a positive impact. Financial support and partnerships generated by the movement will be directed toward educational advancement, youth development, community wellness, and support for emerging entrepreneurs.

HLX+ Studios will manage the storytelling and production aspects of the initiative. The studio plans to use photography, interviews, and documentary-style content to document the people involved in the movement. There are long-term ambitions to expand this content into documentary films and streaming series for global platforms to reach wider audiences.

The organizers intend for Unity Walk NYC to become an annual tradition in New York City and eventually serve as the foundation for a national movement. The vision includes expanding the walk to various cities across the country, allowing each location to create locally rooted experiences that celebrate their specific cultural fabrics and shared humanity.

Silvia Eliat, a board member for both organizations, noted that the movement requires a sustained commitment from individuals and organizations to show up, listen, and work toward a common purpose. The initiative is currently inviting celebrities, corporate brands, and community partners to participate as ambassadors, sponsors, or collaborators.
