Renowned comic artist Bill Sienkiewicz’s latest Batman painting is set to make a dual debut: first on the runway at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and later aboard a space mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This innovative project, in collaboration with Dent the Future, will be formally unveiled at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2024.

The painting has been transformed into a dramatic cape designed by New York-based designer Latiyah Gholar, paired with a glamorous Victorian ballgown co-designed by Re’Malhi and Dr. Jessica Konopka, and meticulously crafted by Re’Malhi’s Haute Couture Atelier. The ensemble will be modeled by Dr. Jessica Konopka during a special segment of the CosMODA runway show.

CosMODA: Cosplay Runway, known for merging the worlds of high fashion and cosplay, will host this event on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 30 Wall Street in New York City. The show aims to celebrate creativity, innovation, and the intersection of comics and fashion.

Following its fashion debut, Sienkiewicz’s Batman painting is scheduled to be sent to the ISS in April 2025 as part of Dent the Future’s upcoming space mission. This endeavor marks a unique fusion of art, fashion, and space exploration, highlighting the limitless possibilities of creative collaboration.

Attendees of NYFW will have the exclusive opportunity to witness this extraordinary fusion of art and fashion before it embarks on its cosmic journey. Tickets for the event are available on Eventbrite under CosMODA.
