The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) has announced the programming for JanArtsNYC 2025, a month-long celebration of performing arts and industry events across New York City in January. Now in its 12th year, JanArtsNYC continues to position January as “Performing Arts Month,” showcasing premier works in theater, dance, opera, music, and performance.
The festivities kick off on January 4, 2025, with the 20th-anniversary season of the Under the Radar Festival and feature notable events such as the APAP|NYC Conference, NYC Winter Jazzfest, and PROTOTYPE Festival. This year’s lineup introduces two new partners, the Out Front Festival and PhysFestNYC, expanding the celebration’s reach and inclusivity. Over 45,000 artists, arts leaders, and enthusiasts are expected to participate in events held at various venues across the city.
Pat Swinney Kaufman, Commissioner of MOME, expressed pride in presenting this year’s JanArtsNYC, highlighting its role in transforming January into a vibrant month for live performance and cultural exchange. With a blend of public performances and professional gatherings, JanArtsNYC serves as a platform for innovation, connection, and the celebration of the arts’ transformative power.
The full schedule of events is available at JanArtsNYC.org. Photos and video assets for promotional use can be accessed online. Audiences are invited to join the conversation and share their experiences using the hashtag #JanArtsNYC on social media.
