Skyhorse Publishing has announced the release of the audiobook version of Chivalry, written by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Patrick Girondi. The audiobook uniquely combines both the novel and screenplay versions in a single collection, offering listeners a rare dual-format experience.
Set on the streets of New York City, Chivalry tells the gripping story of Isa, a Gulf War veteran living incognito, who writes a manuscript detailing his experiences with U.S. government and military actions. After losing the manuscript, it falls into the hands of Bob Herman, an aspiring author working at an elite New York publishing firm. When Bob’s boss mistakenly believes he is the manuscript’s author, it catapults Bob to fame and sets off a chain of events leading him to Isa, who lives as a homeless man under the protection of former platoon members.
The audiobook is narrated by Girondi himself, with Douglas Widick providing the screenplay reading and Megan Euker voicing all female characters. Euker, Girondi’s project manager and agent, also created the cover art for the book. The recording was produced at Suite Tea Studio in Brooklyn, NY, a space founded by Widick and known for its audio production expertise.
Patrick Girondi, often described as a “Renaissance man,” is not only an acclaimed author but also a singer-songwriter and the founder of San Rocco Therapeutics, a gene therapy company dedicated to curing Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia. His literary achievements include five books published within a 20-month span, with *Flight of the Rondone* being a Wall Street Journal #1 Bestseller.
The artwork for Chivalry and Girondi’s other books was created by Megan Euker, a two-time Fulbright recipient to Italy. The audiobook, combining novel and screenplay formats, provides listeners with a vivid sense of the story’s cinematic potential. *Chivalry* is available now from Skyhorse Publishing and other major retailers.
