
The International Awards Associate (IAA) has announced the winners of the 2024 New York Photography Awards, celebrating exceptional photographers worldwide for their creative vision and storytelling. This year’s competition drew more than 6,000 submissions from over 55 countries, underscoring its global reach and the universal power of photography.
Gunnar Freyr Gunnarsson of Iceland earned the title of Professional Photographer of the Year for his striking image, The Volcano Eye, receiving a $3,000 cash prize. In the Amateur/Student category, Nicholas Holton of Australia was named Photographer of the Year for his work, Imprint of a Giant, securing a $2,000 cash award.
In addition to the top honors, the competition recognized Category Winners of the Year for their impactful work across various genres, awarding each recipient $100 for their achievements.
The New York Photography Awards, open to photographers across all experience levels, continue to spotlight diverse perspectives and innovative storytelling from artists worldwide.
