Angel Shot App LLC has launched a new mobile app designed to improve safety in bars, restaurants, and other social venues. Building on the concept of the “Angel Shot,” a discreet code word used to signal for assistance, the app provides patrons with a covert, technology-driven way to request help when they feel unsafe.
The Angel Shot app offers features such as location sharing and emergency contact alerts, making it easier for individuals to discreetly seek assistance from venue staff. Patrons can also include vehicle information and add trusted contacts to enhance their personal security.
Initially developed to address concerns about safety in nightlife settings, the app aims to reduce unwanted attention and mitigate risks in social environments. By digitizing the “Angel Shot” system, the app provides a more reliable and efficient way to communicate safety concerns compared to traditional methods, which may be less discreet or misunderstood.
Over 50 bars and restaurants have already adopted the app, and hundreds of users have signed up in recent weeks. The app allows venues to demonstrate their commitment to patron safety while ensuring a secure environment for their customers.
The Angel Shot app was introduced at a media launch event at Whiskey’s in Freeport, New York, followed by a public event at Churchill’s in Rockville Centre. Both events highlighted the app’s potential to enhance safety and build trust between establishments and their patrons.
